Full-Stack Web Developer – Part-Time Freelance

Remote | Part-Time | Freelance / Contractor

We are looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer to join a web development project, with the majority of the work focused on backend development.

The ideal candidate will be a highly independent developer who can take ownership of tasks while collaborating closely with the Project Lead and an experienced Web Designer.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain web applications, with a strong focus on backend development.

- Work across the full stack when required.

- Build and maintain integrations, APIs and CMS-based solutions.

- Contribute to iOS and Android applications using React Native.

- Follow secure, scalable and maintainable development practices.

- Use Git and CI/CD workflows effectively.

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high code quality and engineering standards.

- Work independently and communicate effectively through Slack.

 

Tech Stack & Requirements

- PHP, Python, Laravel, Symfony

- MySQL, Apache

- Next.js, TypeScript

- Docker

- React Native for iOS and Android

- Git & CI/CD

- Strong understanding of security-by-design

- Experience working effectively with AI coding agents / AI-assisted development

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

- Italian language required

 

Engagement

- Fully remote

- Part-time freelance / contractor

- Initially around 4 hours per day, with the workload expected to decrease over time.

- Workload may vary significantly, with periods of high activity and periods of little or no work.

- No fixed working hours or fixed monthly salary.

- Compensation is based on the actual work performed.

- The candidate must be able to invoice the company and therefore hold a valid Italian or EU VAT number.

- Slack will be the primary communication channel.
