My client, a leading iGaming company, is looking for a SQL Report Writer to join their team in North Wales. This is an on-site position.

With more than three decades of experience, my client stands as the worldwide frontrunner in testing and certifying gaming devices and systems.

In the role of an SQL Report Writer, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication with clients, translating their business requirements into detailed specifications, and ultimately delivering precise solutions. Acting as a bridge between engineers, marketing associates, developers, and external clients, this position focuses on identifying and conceptualizing insightful data analysis while providing actionable recommendations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates across departments to identify opportunities for enhancing data management and delivery. Constructs queries, views, and stored procedures to extract data effectively.
  • Publishes and oversees PowerBI dashboards.
  • Manages the creation, maintenance, publication, and editing of reports on the SSRS server.
  • Generates key performance indicator reports for management evaluation.
  • Develops intricate SQL queries and reports.
  • Implements self-service analytical tools for end users.
  • Maintains proficiency in testing and database design principles.
  • Designs and creates dashboard and reporting solutions for senior management analysis.
  • Evaluates client needs and explores alternative business solutions in collaboration with project management.
  • Analyzes tables to gain insights into data for accurate retrieval and utilization in report writing.
  • Tests and validates reports to ensure precision and qualityAutomates or enhances the efficiency of existing reports.

Desired experience and skillset:

  • Possesses a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a related role.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
  • Demonstrates advanced SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with SQL Reporting Services and PowerBI is essential.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up PowerBI and PowerBI datasets is a prerequisite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully.
  • Exhibits robust critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is advantageous.
  • Capable of managing and organizing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be adaptable to work flexible hours.
