One of my client, a well known iGaming company based in Malta, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer able to join their company.   The role is hybrid, 3 times per week at the office are mandatory.   What You Will Do: - Design, develop, and maintain backend services using modern .NET technologies (C#, .NET Core 8), with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and clean architecture. - Build and integrate messaging systems and background services, ensuring reliable, event- driven communication across distributed components. - Write and optimise MS SQL queries, indexes, and performance?critical operations for high?volume environments. - Contribute to architectural discussions, technical design sessions, and product brainstorming, helping shape the future of our platform. - Define and uphold engineering best practices across coding standards, testing, CI/CD, and system design. - Drive continuous improvement, staying current with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks that can elevate our engineering capabilities. - Collaborate closely with cross?functional teams in a fast?paced, highly supportive environment where knowledge?sharing is part of the culture.   What You Bring: - 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development. - Strong understanding of software engineering principles, API design, REST, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems. - Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, MS SQL, SOA, and distributed caching technologies (e.g., Redis). - Experience with Typescript or Python is considered an advantage. - Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. - A mindset built on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. - A collaborative spirit, someone who enjoys working with others and contributing to a positive engineering culture.

Working closely with their engineering teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the company's cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, reliable, and easy to deploy. Manage technical integrations from onboarding through to production go-live. Monitor live production environments and proactively identify technical issues affecting clients. Coordinate technical incidents, escalations, and resolutions with Engineering and NOC teams. Investigate API, connectivity, and integration-related issues to minimise service disruption. Analyse logs and technical data to assist with troubleshooting and root cause investigations. Support operational improvements to enhance platform stability and service delivery. Work closely with Commercial, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams across multiple regions. What we are looking for: Previous experience within the iGaming industry. Hands-on experience within a NOC, Technical Operations, or 24/7 Production Support environment.
