The role is on-site in Vancouver.  Key Responsibilities: DevOps Leadership: Champion DevOps principles and best practices across engineering, product, and operations teams. Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert in DevOps. Infrastructure Ownership: Take complete ownership of our AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-efficiency. Manage cloud resources through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions (or similar) to streamline build, test, and deployment workflows across multiple environments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the adoption and implementation of IaC using AWS CDK to manage infrastructure across all environments. Monitoring & Incident Response: Implement observability tools and establish incident response playbooks to ensure reliability and fast recovery during outages or incidents. Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure meets compliance and security best practices, including least-privilege IAM, audit logging, and secrets management. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience leading and building DevOps or platform engineering teams in a cloud-first environment. Expert level experience with AWS services, architecture patterns, and cost optimization with a proven track record of supporting high-traffic, real-time web applications.. Expert level experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and Terraform. Expert Level understanding of GitHub, including GitHub Actions, branching strategies, and secure secret management.
