About the Role


A company with international experience in the gaming sector is launching operations in Brazil, starting with retail sports betting in the state of Paraíba. As part of this expansion, they are looking for a Commercial Manager to lead commercial activities in the Northeast region, based in João Pessoa. This position plays a critical role in driving the retail network’s growth, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring strong field performance. The successful candidate will combine market knowledge with hands-on leadership to help establish and scale a high-performing regional operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Regional Commercial Strategy
  • Develop and execute a tailored commercial strategy for the Northeast region.
  • Identify new opportunities for sales, retail presence, and partnerships.
  • Align regional plans with national targets and strategic goals.
  • Analyze local market trends, competition, and customer behavior to inform decisions.
  • Sales Network Development
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and management of local sales teams and agents.
  • Ensure sales targets are consistently met through effective training and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and oversee performance tracking systems and incentive structures.
  • Ensure compliance and operational excellence across all retail points.
  • Partnerships & Distribution
  • Build and manage partnerships within Paraíba and neighboring states.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and business partners.
  • Coordinate local commercial efforts to ensure brand consistency and operational effectiveness.
  • Market Development & Brand Growth
  • Support local marketing and activation campaigns to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Provide insights to internal teams to localize campaigns and product offerings.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation and high customer service standards.
  • Reporting & Performance Management
  • Monitor and report on commercial results and regional KPIs.
  • Provide regular updates on performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement improvement initiatives when necessary.

Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial leadership, preferably within sports betting, gaming, retail, lottery, or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong background in field sales, commercial partnerships, and team management.
  • In-depth understanding of the Northeast Brazilian market and consumer dynamics.
  • Proven leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on approach with a strong focus on performance and accountability.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential; French is a plus.
  • Experience with partner networks or franchise-based distribution models is beneficial but not mandatory.
