A fast-growing iGaming business is seeking a senior Compliance Manager to lead and establish the compliance function for their Brazil market operations. This position is ideal for someone with deep regulatory knowledge, operational compliance experience, and the ability to build scalable frameworks in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all betting operations remain aligned with Brazil’s evolving regulatory landscape, including Law 14.790 and SPA requirements. The role combines regulatory compliance, AML oversight, risk controls, licensing support, and operational execution.

About the Role:


This role will take ownership of the compliance setup and ongoing regulatory operations for the Brazil market. The person joining this company will work closely with legal, operations, payments, and external regulatory partners to establish strong compliance standards across the business.

The position requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable building processes from the ground up while supporting daily operational compliance activities. The environment is fast-moving and suited to someone proactive, adaptable, and experienced within regulated iGaming operations in Brazil.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage the full Brazil compliance structure and operational framework
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local betting and gaming regulations
  • Develop and maintain AML, KYC, KYB, responsible gaming, and internal control policies
  • Establish suspicious activity monitoring and transaction review procedures
  • Manage regulatory reporting obligations and support external audits
  • Oversee customer onboarding controls, CPF verification processes, and payment compliance
  • Conduct source of funds reviews and implement payment risk mitigation measures
  • Support licensing applications and maintain relationships with regulators and external advisors
  • Implement fraud prevention controls, including bonus abuse monitoring
  • Coordinate vendor due diligence and third-party compliance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with LGPD and internal data privacy standards
  • Create SOPs, internal documentation, and staff compliance training programs
  • Work closely with operational, legal, and finance teams to improve compliance processes

Desired experience:

  • At least 5 years of compliance experience within the Brazil iGaming or online betting sector
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian gaming regulations and regulatory requirements
  • Proven AML/KYC operational experience within regulated environments
  • Experience managing regulator communications, audits, and licensing processes
  • Ability to work in a startup-style environment with a hands-on mindset
  • Experience building compliance processes and frameworks from scratch is essential
  • Strong understanding of CPF verification, payment controls, fraud prevention, and responsible gaming
  • Familiarity with vendor due diligence and LGPD requirements would be advantageous
  • Fluent Portuguese and strong professional English communication skills are required
