Senior Accountant / Finance Lead

We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant/Finance Lead to own and manage day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong financial discipline across the organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly in the details, taking full ownership of financial processes, and operating in a lean, fast-paced environment. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the business while partnering closely with leadership on reporting and process improvements.
Core Responsibilities
• Own the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor setup, invoicing, and ensure timely payments
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and expense activity
• Maintain all accounting activity within QuickBooks
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy and timeliness
• Support leadership with reporting, variance analysis, and financial insights
• Assist with audit preparation and related documentation
• Support payroll processing and employee onboarding/offboarding from a financial perspective
• Manage 1099 filings and assist with benefits coordination and insurance renewals
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Support external audits and ongoing financial reporting needs
Qualifications
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial operations
• Strong experience in hands-on accounting roles (not just oversight)
• Prior experience in small to mid-sized or lean organizations preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently and owning processes end-to-end

The Role
This is a hands-on, live trading role overseeing highly automated strategies within sports prediction markets.
You will be responsible for monitoring and improving real-time trading performance, identifying edge, and safely deploying strategy enhancements into production environments.
The position is directly tied to live US sports markets and requires flexibility, including evenings and weekends, as part of a shared team rotation.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee live automated trading: Monitor real-time performance, exposure, and risk across markets during live sporting events, adjusting algorithmic parameters where required and intervening when necessary
Improve trading strategy: Research, prototype, and validate pricing improvements, signal enhancements, and risk logic
Own strategy rollout: Deploy updates through controlled methods, measure impact, and iterate based on performance
Analyse trading data: Build and maintain reporting to track P&L attribution, fill quality, slippage, exposure, and model performance
Backtesting & simulation: Validate all changes rigorously before applying to live markets

Requirements
Experience in sports betting, financial trading, or prediction markets

We are partnering with a fast-growing, high-volume online gaming operator to appoint a VP of Fraud & Payments. This is a critical leadership role responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing the company’s fraud prevention and payments ecosystem across multiple products.

The Role
As VP of Fraud & Payments, you will lead the function end to end, overseeing fraud strategy, payment optimization, tools, and team management. You will build scalable systems that reduce fraud losses, increase payment approval rates, and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead the full fraud detection, investigation, and prevention strategy across the customer lifecycle, including registration, deposits, gameplay, redemptions, promotions, and KYC
Build, implement, and continuously optimize risk rules to detect and mitigate fraud patterns such as bonus abuse, multi-accounting, synthetic identity, and payment fraud
Drive payment performance by managing authorization rates, chargebacks, and dispute processes while optimizing relationships with payment processors and card networks
Lead decline analysis, BIN-level performance optimization, 3DS strategy, and chargeback representment programs
Own the KYC and identity verification framework, including thresholds, escalation workflows, and manual review processes
Evaluate, implement, and optimize fraud, identity, and payments tooling to ensure a scalable and proactive risk infrastructure
Build and lead a high-performing fraud and payments team, establishing KPIs, SOPs, and performance standards
