Head of Payment Service Providers (PSPs)
Location: Open to Canada (relocation provided), Cyprus, Barcelona, or Dubai
Compensation: $200,000 - $220,000 (CAD) + 100-130% Bonus 


Our client is looking for a highly commercial, hands-on Head of Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to own and drive global payments strategy and execution.

The right fit is someone who has personally negotiated PSP contracts, onboarded payment providers, managed payment performance, resolved operational issues, optimized processing costs, and built payment coverage across multiple markets. You should be equally comfortable discussing payment routing logic with product and technology teams as you are negotiating commercial terms with acquirers, gateways, wallet providers, and alternative payment methods.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Own relationships with global PSPs, acquirers, gateways, card processors, wallet providers, and alternative payment providers.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing reviews, contract renewals, and service-level discussions.
  • Identify and onboard new PSPs to improve coverage, conversion, and redundancy.
  • Drive optimization of processing costs, approval rates, and payment success metrics.
  • Build and execute PSP strategy across multiple international markets.
  • Develop and launch new payment methods and products.
  • Drive automation initiatives across payment operations and reconciliation processes.
  • Work closely with Finance, Product, Compliance, Risk, Treasury, and Technology teams.
What We're Looking For
  • Understanding of payments within gaming, gambling, fintech, crypto, or other high-risk industries
  • Significant experience managing Payment Service Providers (PSPs) directly
  • Deep understanding of global payment ecosystems, including cards, wallets, APMs, acquiring, gateway providers, and local payment methods
  • Strong commercial negotiation experience with PSPs and payment partners.
  • Track record of improving payment performance, coverage, and provider diversification
  • Strong leadership experience managing operational and technical teams
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in day-to-day execution
  • Experience across both regulated and more challenging international payment markets
  • Experience leveraging automation and AI within payment operations
