Marketing Intelligence Analyst

We’re seeking a Marketing Intelligence Analyst to own the numbers behind our marketing department. This role focuses on translating performance data into clear, actionable insights that drive smarter ad spend, improve retention, and identify the true ROI of our marketing channels and games. You’ll work across acquisition, retention, and growth, analyzing how users move through the funnel, how campaigns impact long-term value, and why specific games or events drive spikes in user activity.

This isn’t a reporting role. It’s about understanding the why behind the numbers and helping leadership make better, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and interpret marketing performance metrics across all paid and organic channels (Google, AdRoll, influencers, etc.).
  • Build and maintain dashboards showing daily/weekly/monthly spend, CPA, CVR, retention, and LTV.
  • Analyze user retention cohorts on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Identify behavioral trends and lifecycle stages that impact re-engagement and churn.
  • Develop and refine models for true CPA and ROAS by source, campaign, and geography.
  • Attribute spikes in engagement or deposits to specific events, influencers, or content.
  • Create formulas and predictive models to estimate user LTV per channel, campaign, and game vertical.
  • Work with finance and marketing to forecast growth and set spend caps accordingly.
  • Detect short-term growth surges (e.g., “sportsbook volume up 20% due to viral tweet”) and explain why.
  • Build automated alerts or short briefs for the team to act on high-impact changes.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, finance, and product teams to align insights with business goals.
  • Provide weekly executive summaries and present actionable insights directly to the CMO. Skills & Competencies List the soft and technical skills needed to succeed in this role.

Core Competencies:
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communicator who can turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized in handling multiple data sources.
  • Curious and investigative, always seeking to understand the “why.”
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (complex formulas, data modeling, LTV calculations).
  • Strong command of data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Understanding of key marketing metrics (CPA, CVR, ROAS, CAC:LTV, retention curves).
  • Experience working with large datasets (SQL or basic Python knowledge is a plus).
  • Familiarity with tracking platforms such as GA4, Mixpanel, or similar tools.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing analytics, performance marketing, or growth intelligence.
  • Background in social, sweepstakes, or crypto casino is a must.
  • Proven ability to connect marketing data to business outcomes.
  • Preferred: experience in gaming, esports, or gambling analytics.
  • Preferred: understanding of user funnel optimization and event tracking
