In-House Counsel (Legal & Compliance)

This role provides end-to-end legal and compliance support across a multinational iGaming group. Reporting to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, the role acts as a key legal advisor to internal teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Legal support: Provide day-to-day legal advice on commercial, corporate, operational, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts
- Support corporate governance, internal structuring, and legal documentation.
- Advise on areas such as gaming law, AML/CFT, data protection, IP, tax, IT, employment, and commercial law.
- Manage intellectual property (e.g., trademarks and enforcement actions).
- Conduct legal research and track regulatory changes across jurisdictions.
- Compliance support: Advise on compliance matters including gaming, AML/CFT, consumer protection, and competition law.
- Help develop and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and risk registers.
- Manage licensing, certifications, audits, and regulatory submissions across jurisdictions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support remediation actions.
- Contribute to training and compliance awareness across the business.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ in-house legal experience, ideally in iGaming (B2B preferred) or a regulated industry.
- Strong expertise in gaming, commercial, corporate, employment, IT, AML/CFT, and IP law.
- Skilled in contract negotiation and handling regulatory/audit processes.
- Strong English communication skills and proficiency with tools like Jira, Google Suite, MS Office, and AI tools.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, business-focused, and willing to travel occasionally.

· Providing expert advice on specific and complex gaming matters in countries of interest.

· Taking the lead as Project Manager for regulatory projects from beginning to end, as well as implementing a compliance project.
· Producing and reviewing regular reporting submitted by/to gaming authorities.
· Carrying out projects related to the regulatory scope (Sports Ethics, Responsible Gaming, Anti-Money-Laundering, data protection).
· Managing external law firms and ensuring firms comply with pre-agreed fee estimates.
· Providing legal training to trainees and internal stakeholders.
· Coaching, supervising and motivate junior members of the Legal team.
· Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contractual agreements
Qualifications and skills required:
· Qualified Solicitor (5-6 Years PQE).
· Experience dealing directly with regulators.
· Ability to work on various projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· High levels of initiative, pragmatism and common sense.
· Curiosity with a keenness to innovate, improve processes and drive efficiencies.
