Finance Analyst - iGaming / Sportsbook / Lottery
Location: Remote (Northeast candidates preferred)
Travel: Quarterly To HQ
Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000/year + Bonus
About the Role
Our client, a leading organization within the digital gaming and entertainment sector, is seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial operations across a growing portfolio. This role is accounting- forward and ideal for someone who can support financial planning and analysis. You will work closely with Accounting, department leaders, and senior stakeholders while helping drive process improvement, operational efficiency, and strong internal controls.
The ideal candidate has worked in an accounting function and has personally prepared journal entries, understands GAAP, and has supported month-end close activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or support journal entries, reclasses, accruals, and ensure accurate GL coding in partnership with Accounting.
- Contribute to month-end close processes and support documentation and controls as needed.
- Manage the end-to-end PO and check request workflow, reviewing submissions for completeness, proper coding, required documentation, and approval routing.
- Support compliance with procurement policies and strengthen process consistency through SOPs and control enhancements.
- Prepare variance analyses, maintain budget trackers, monitor spend trends, and support forecast updates.
- Assist in preparing executive-ready financial reporting (summaries, dashboards, and presentations) for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to reporting tools and dashboards that improve organizational visibility and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve internal controls, and implement automation where practical.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 4+ years of handson accounting experience (general ledger accounting, journal entries, GAAP-based processes, and close support).
- Familiarity with online gaming revenue concepts (GGR, NGR, handle) and regulated gaming environments are strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial systems (Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
- Ability to manage deadlines, juggle priorities, and operate with strong attention to detail in a remote environment.
- FP&A exposure (forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, KPI reporting.
- Experience with procurement workflows (POs, check requests, approvals).
- Smartsheet and/or strong presentation tools (PowerPoint, etc.).
