Chief Technology Officer

Location: The Bahamas – relocation required

Our client is looking for a hands-on technology leader to take ownership of its technology estate and drive the next stage of its development.

This is a senior leadership role focused on infrastructure, hardware and technology operations. The successful candidate will set direction, identify risks and improvements, and remain close enough to the detail to challenge existing solutions and work directly with the team and suppliers when required.

This is not a software development role. Software engineering, product development and third-party game/content integrations sit elsewhere in the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the company’s overall technology infrastructure and operational environment.

  • Lead AWS/cloud infrastructure, networks, connectivity, firewalls and cyber security.

  • Ensure strong resilience, redundancy, disaster recovery and uptime.

  • Oversee technology and connectivity across a multi-site environment, including hardware and peripherals across the business.

  • Lead monitoring, performance and incident management.

  • Manage third-party technology suppliers and ensure strong standards, controls and documentation.

  • Lead the internal technology team while remaining hands-on when needed.

  • Identify practical opportunities to use AI and automation across infrastructure, security, monitoring, incident management and support.

Experience & Background

We are more interested in what you have owned and delivered than your current job title. Candidates could currently be a CTO, Technology Director, VP Technology, Head of Technology, Head of Infrastructure, IT Director, Senior Infrastructure Manager, IT Infrastructure Manager, Technology Operations Manager or similar.

You should have:

  • Proven ownership of a meaningful technology infrastructure / IT operations environment.

  • Strong technical understanding across cloud, networking, security, hardware and resilience.

  • Experience working in a 24/7, high-availability and/or multi-site environment.

  • A track record of managing technical teams and external suppliers.

  • The ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on technical credibility.

Experience in gaming, payments, fintech, retail, e-commerce or telecoms would be highly relevant, although gaming experience is not essential.

We are looking for someone dynamic, pragmatic, commercially minded and action-oriented — a proven technology leader who can take full ownership of the estate without being too far removed from the technology itself.
