Overview of the Role

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineering Lead to take ownership of our infrastructure strategy and operational excellence in a high-demand, cloud-based igaming environment. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on execution, empowering you to shape our DevOps culture and practices alongside engineering and product teams.

 

You’ll be responsible for evolving our cloud-native architecture, streamlining deployments, and ensuring a stable, scalable platform. As a key contributor, you’ll also guide a small group of engineers, enabling them to succeed in delivering world-class infrastructure and automation.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

  • Architect and maintain scalable, secure AWS environments using tools such as ArgoCD and Crossplane
  • Promote a GitOps approach to infrastructure management, ensuring consistency and traceability
  • Optimize our systems for reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance

Build Pipelines & Engineering Tools

  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth and safe delivery across multiple products
  • Provide tooling that simplifies local development, environment setup, and deployment workflows
  • Implement strategies like canary and blue/green deployments to increase delivery confidence

Monitoring & Reliability

  • Set up effective monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Lead incident response efforts, including post-mortem analysis and system hardening
  • Help embed a culture of operational discipline and reliability

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and lead a team of 3 focused on infrastructure and platform development
  • Partner with developers and stakeholders to align DevOps initiatives with product objectives
  • Take part in growing the team, including interviewing and onboarding

 

What You Bring

 

Experience

  • 7+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure-focused roles
  • Expertise in deploying and managing systems on AWS
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, ArgoCD, or Crossplane
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems and automated software delivery pipelines
  • History of working in always-on production environments

Technical Know-How

  • Strong background in Linux, systems networking, and securing cloud environments
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go)
  • Comfortable with tools for secrets management, service discovery, and policy automation
  • Understanding of compliance and security protocols, even in the absence of a dedicated InfoSec team
