Our client is an established iGaming .com operator seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the turnaround and growth of an underperforming online gaming business.
The business focuses on the DACH and Nordic regions.
Following approximately 12 months of operation, the business has entered a strategic review phase, with investors seeking a proven industry leader capable of assessing the current operation, refining the market strategy, and delivering a sustainable growth plan.
This is a highly visible leadership role with significant autonomy and direct access to ownership. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive review of the business and implementing a clear roadmap to achieve commercial success.
The Opportunity
The business currently operates across selected Central European and Nordic markets and maintains a lean operational structure of approximately 10 employees covering Product, CRM and Customer Support functions.
While the existing customer base remains active, growth has fallen short of expectations, prompting investors to pause further expansion and reassess key strategic decisions across product, acquisition channels, payments, and market focus.
The incoming CEO will be tasked with evaluating the current operation and creating a clear turnaround strategy focused on profitable and scalable growth
Key Responsibilities;
Conduct a full review of the business, including product offering, market positioning, acquisition strategy, commercial performance and operational structure.
Develop and execute a comprehensive turnaround and growth plan.
Present clear recommendations regarding target markets, investment priorities and resource allocation.
Establish measurable milestones and KPIs to drive performance.
Evaluate the current platform ecosystem and supplier relationships.
Review the existing sportsbook strategy and supplier performance.
Assess opportunities to increase focus on casino as the primary growth driver within targeted grey markets.
Identify product improvements and competitive advantages capable of increasing player acquisition and retention.
Review the effectiveness of current traffic acquisition channels.
Develop a sustainable customer acquisition strategy with a strong emphasis on affiliate, partnership and influencer marketing.
Build and negotiate high-quality CPA and revenue-share partnerships.
Establish robust acquisition controls to ensure traffic quality and long-term profitability.
Review the current payments infrastructure and associated costs.
Lead the planned migration to the platform provider's payment gateway solution.
