Finance Director – Online Sports Betting & Gaming Gibraltar | On site, five days a week | Full relocation package available We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, technology-driven online sports betting and gaming group on the appointment of a Finance Director based in Gibraltar. The Company Our client brings decades of betting expertise to a global audience. The business operates a flagship B2C brand alongside a portfolio of partner brands it manages and services, all powered by its own fully developed SaaS platform. This is a fast-paced, international business where you’ll work alongside passionate experts and help shape the next generation of online sports betting and gaming. The Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Finance function, ensuring robust financial control, high-quality insight and disciplined execution. You will lead the consolidation and oversight of the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, working capital and liquidity position across entities in Gibraltar, the UK, the Isle of Man and Hungary. You will lead three teams: Financial Control, Treasury & Accounts Payable, and PSP Reconciliations. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting Lead the preparation, review and continuous improvement of all financial reporting, ensuring it is timely, accurate and decision-ready Deliver detailed analysis and commentary on Direct Costs, including affiliates, gaming taxes (and their mitigation), sports data, licence fees and PSP fees Own the annual budget and quarterly reforecast, with particular focus on the balance sheet, working capital and cash flow Leadership, Compliance & Solutions Set clear priorities, accountability and performance expectations across the Financial Control, Treasury and PSP Reconciliation teams Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, driving quality, efficiency and continuous improvement Build capability through talent development, succession planning and career pathways Lead finance-related regulatory, OECD and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with Compliance Strengthen internal control frameworks and lead finance systems integration and transformation projects Strategic Value Contribute to company strategy, challenging assumptions and providing financial guidance across all activities Partner with the CFO and executive team on long-term financial strategy, including capital allocation, liquidity planning and investment prioritisation Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, acquisitions, partnerships and new markets, delivering robust, risk-adjusted business cases Act as a strategic business partner to FP&A, commercial and operational leaders About You Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or qualified by experience Significant senior finance experience, ideally in online gaming or another complex, fast-paced, regulated environment Strong technical accounting expertise across IFRS and UK GAAP, including reviewing annual financial statements across multiple jurisdictions Commercially astute and technically credible, with the gravitas to influence at executive and board level Excellent communication skills, able to present complex financial matters clearly to boards and cross-functional teams A proactive drive to deliver high-impact results, individually and through your teams Relocation For candidates relocating from abroad, our client’s Talent Acquisition team will handle the move end to end, including booking flights, providing accommodation during the settling-in period, and supporting with practical arrangements.  

An exciting new product offering in fully Regulated Markets is about to go live with industry veterans and they are looking to hire a Finance Manager. This is a Malta based, non -office working role. Why this role is different:You will run finance operations on a platform we have built ourselves. Every transaction, every processor and supplier settlement, every fee and every bank movement lands in the same data warehouse, and the engineering team that built it sits next to you and builds what you specify. Instead of reconciling by hand, you design the reconciliations and controls that run every night, and you spend your time on the exceptions and the decisions rather than the matching. You are joining as our first finance operations hire, with a clear path to Head of Finance as we add markets, processors and payment methods. This is a build-the-function role, not a maintain-the-function role. What you'll do ? Own the daily cash position across operating, segregated and processor accounts, and confirm that segregated funds cover player balances under our Player Funds Protection Policy. ? Manage the payment processor relationships day to day, and keep processor balances at the level we need. ? Make the weekly payment to iGaming Ontario and track the operator share back into our accounts. ? Reconcile processor settlements and fees to the wallet ledger at transaction level, and work exceptions. ? Reconcile game supplier and platform fees to our own game data before they are paid. ? Run the supplier payment cycle: approve invoices against the reconciliations, keep payment approvals and bank signatory controls in place, and own the bank relationships. ? Track every gap between money owed and money received: settlement timing, rolling reserves, in-transit deposits, and anything else that leaves a gap. ? Work the chargeback, dispute and refund queue, and reconcile the resulting debits. ? Prepare the monthly player-funds reconciliation the policy requires, ledger to bank to processor reports. ? Run the withdrawal review queue: large payouts, holds pending verification, and manual approvals. What you'll bring ? 5+ years in finance, with at least 2 running treasury, finance or payment operations day to day in online gaming, payments, or another regulated financial services environment. ? Direct experience with payment processors: settlement files, rolling reserves, chargebacks, fee reconciliation and term negotiation. ? A regulated background where customer money is segregated. ? Genuine interest in using automation and AI to do this job better. You don't need to write code, but you should want to design systems rather than operate manually. ? Based in Malta for remote working ideally. Nice to have: ? CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent designation. ? Experience being the first finance hire or standing up a treasury function from scratch. ? Interac, Canadian EFT or other North American payment rails. ? Exposure to Ontario (AGCO/iGO), MGA or UKGC funds-protection requirements. An excellent salary is on offer for this hire.
