In this role you will be collaborating with our fantastic team based in the US. While daily interactions are not the norm, we believe in the power of flexibility and are looking for someone who is open to occasional after-hours engagement.

 

 

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Lead and shape the engineering team, guiding architectural decisions and overseeing product implementation.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to a Ruby on Rails engineering team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic directions, project timelines, and product roadmaps.
• Serve as a pivotal point of contact for technical matters within the company.
• Play a key role in hiring top engineering talent, fostering exceptional teams.
• Contribute to defining and executing a forward-looking architecture for scalability and performance.
• Champion novel ideas, driving technical and product enhancements.
• Combine hands-on coding with collaborative teamwork, ensuring code quality through reviews and documentation.
• Participate in support cycles, ensuring the stability and excellence of our product.

 

Qualifications We're Seeking:

• Demonstrated leadership in Ruby on Rails development, with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Strong grasp of DevOps tools and technologies, including databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Travis, etc.), and cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, Google Cloud).
• Solid experience in web app development, RESTful APIs, and database systems.
• Fluency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including relevant frameworks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
