About the Role
As an Accountant, you’ll lead the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting, tax compliance, and efficient treasury functions. Working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party providers, you’ll ensure financial excellence in a regulated and fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and treasury functions
- Oversee payroll processes in coordination with a third-party provider
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Coordinate with external providers to ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping and reporting
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian accounting standards and tax laws
- Prepare and present periodic financial reports to local and global finance teams
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
- Manage tax filings, including corporate, payroll, and indirect taxes
- Support the external audit process
- Provide financial insights and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate across teams including Legal, Country Management, and Global Finance
What We’re Looking For
- CA/CPA or equivalent accounting certification
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ in a similar role
- Strong understanding of Brazilian tax laws and financial regulations
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in digital, gaming, or regulated industries preferred
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Jira, and Intercom is a plus
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Fluent in Portuguese; Intermediate English required
- Based in Brazil
