Head of Operations (Online Gaming)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Circa £85k DOE
Job Summary:
We are looking for a results-oriented, highly self-motivated, and commercially aware individual with a passion for Online Betting & Gaming to support and optimise operations across multiple African markets.
The Head of Operations will act as a key link between regional teams and central functions (including Product, Payments, Marketing, and Customer Service), ensuring effective execution of operational strategies across markets.
This role is responsible for overseeing multi-market performance, supporting regional teams, and ensuring that local operational needs are aligned with central direction. The position will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, improving performance, and ensuring a consistent customer experience across all markets.
Responsibilities:
Oversee operational performance across multiple African markets, ensuring alignment with commercial and operational KPIs
Work closely with Regional Operations Managers to monitor and improve performance across their respective markets
Analyse data, reports, and market trends to identify opportunities for operational and commercial improvement
Act as a key liaison between local teams and central functions, ensuring effective communication and execution
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and regional teams to ensure smooth operational flow
Support market entry and exit decisions by providing operational and performance insights
Assist in adapting operations to local market conditions, including payments, infrastructure, and customer behaviour
Collaborate with central teams to support product rollouts, operational initiatives, and campaign execution (non-marketing ownership)
Ensure consistency in operational processes and customer experience across all markets
Contribute to improving operational frameworks and efficiencies across the business
Support budget awareness and contribute to commercial decision-making through performance insights
Manage and develop Regional Operations Managers, ensuring alignment and effective execution across markets
Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics and ensure local insights are reflected in central decision-making
Support cross-functional alignment to ensure smooth delivery of the overall online gaming experience
Requirements:
Experience in online gaming, betting
Experience in operations, commercial, or multi-market roles
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
Strong commercial awareness, with exposure to performance metrics and ideally good P&L understanding
Experience working with data to support decision-making and performance improvement
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across multiple teams and geographies
Willingness and flexibility to occasionally travel across African markets when required
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; French is a plus
Experience in emerging markets or Africa is beneficial
Exposure to digital/online business models

Operations Manager (iGaming / Digital Gaming Environment)

Salary: Upto £80k DOE + Bonus
We are supporting the search for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operational delivery within a fast-scaling digital gaming business operating in regulated markets.
This is a senior, hands-on role focused on ensuring smooth execution across product operations, supplier coordination, performance monitoring, and cross-functional delivery. You will act as a central point between commercial, product, marketing, and technical teams to ensure operational stability and strong player experience outcomes.
What you’ll be responsible for
Lead and coordinate daily operational activity across digital gaming products, ensuring smooth end-to-end execution and platform reliability
Oversee game and product releases, ensuring correct configuration, compliance alignment, and operational readiness
Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners, ensuring service levels, delivery timelines, and operational standards are met
Monitor performance metrics across products, identifying issues, trends, and opportunities for optimisation
Support incident and issue management, ensuring fast resolution and clear internal communication during live operational events
Work closely with product and technical teams to ensure improvements are properly prioritised and delivered
Maintain oversight of operational risks, including system issues, player-impacting incidents, and supplier dependencies
Contribute to reporting for senior leadership, highlighting performance, risks, and key operational insights
Support continuous improvement of internal processes, workflows, and operational frameworks
What we’re looking for
Several years of experience in iGaming, online gaming, sportsbook, casino, or digital entertainment operations
Strong understanding of end-to-end operational delivery in a fast-paced digital environment
Experience working with product, tech, or commercial teams in a cross-functional setup
Confident managing third-party suppliers or platform partners
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and operational trends
Comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-moving environments with shifting priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development, this role is a key driver in evolving the company’s long-term roadmap. The successful candidate will support efforts to accelerate growth through product diversification, new customer acquisition, and strategic expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning
Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into industry trends and competitor activity to provide actionable recommendations for the executive team.
Capital Allocation: Support the assessment of organic investment opportunities against a rigorous strategic and financial framework.
Financial Modelling: Build complex ROI models for internal growth initiatives and partnership ventures.
Special Projects: Support leadership on high-priority strategic actions and ad-hoc business situations.
2. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a target universe aligned with company objectives through independent research and intermediary networking.
Deal Evaluation: Screen opportunities based on strategic fit and financial viability.
Valuation & Analysis: Lead financial modelling for targets, including valuation, synergy analysis, and the validation of operating assumptions.
Execution: Support the full deal lifecycle, including commercial, financial, and legal due diligence, term sheet negotiations, and post-merger integration planning.
Ideal Experience
3–5 years of professional experience, likely starting with a foundation in Investment Banking, Big 4 Transaction Services, or a qualified in-house finance route (e.g., CIMA).
Subsequent experience in a corporate development or internal strategy role is highly preferred.
Prior exposure to the payments industry or broader fintech sector is a significant advantage.
