Our client an African market Operator is looking to hire one or two people to create new growth opportunities for its online sports betting and casino brands across Africa, and take full ownership of execution through to measurable results. You will identify underused traffic sources, build unconventional partnerships and run practical experiments to acquire depositing players profitably. The role covers the full process: find the opportunity, build the solution, launch, measure and scale what works. Finance Executive Location - Malta Onsite Salary - EUR 28- 35K (DOE)   As a Finance Executive (in an iGaming business), you will play a central role in the business's finance function. Reporting to the CFO and support day-to-day finance and accounting operations.   This role requires a high degree of ownership, initiative, and self-management. You will be expected to manage assigned processes end-to-end, proactively driving actions and deadlines, following up as required, and keeping relevant stakeholders informed—without the need for ongoing supervision.   Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting in Xero Managing and maintaining the company’s invoice management system and related processes Managing company card expenses Preparing monthly bank statements and finance reports for the CFO and external accountants. Coordinating monthly payroll with the external payroll provider Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and handling accountants’ and auditors’ queries, including year-end audit requests. Coordinating with corporate service providers Building and maintaining a structured archive of company information and documentation, ensuring records are complete, up to date, and easily accessible. Assisting with KYC and due diligence (DD) processes, including gathering, organising, maintaining, and following up on supporting documentation. Coordinating official corporate documentation and processes, such as board resolutions, meeting minutes (including AGM minutes), powers of attorney, company registry filings and notary appointments, including arranging the required signatures. Proactively tracking recurring deadlines, deliverables, outstanding items, and documentation requirements. Identifying opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate processes, particularly across finance, invoicing, payments, and documentation.   Your Experience & Skills We are looking for someone who: Has at least 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role – this is essential. Has hands-on experience with Xero – this is a strong advantage. Has a solid understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations and core accounting processes. Is a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, follows processes through to completion, and proactively follows up to ensure deadlines are met. Is highly organised, structured, and detail-oriented. Has strong coordination skills and is confident dealing with corporate service providers and other external stakeholders. Can independently manage multiple processes, deadlines, documents, and stakeholders. Communicates clearly and professionally and provides timely updates on progress, outstanding items, and issues. Is comfortable working with invoicing, payment, and finance-related systems. Uses AI tools regularly and can demonstrate practical experience using automation to improve processes   Requirements Fluent English Strong computer literacy.
