You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, infrastructure teams, streaming providers, and CDN partners to understand performance at a detailed level, solve complex issues, and drive measurable improvements.
This is a principal-level individual contributor role with no direct reports. Alongside operational optimization, you will help define the long-term streaming technology strategy needed to support international growth.
Key Responsibilities
Streaming Quality & Performance
Own the ongoing measurement and improvement of streaming quality across live casino services.
Define and evolve KPIs covering latency, reliability, playback, availability, and player experience.
Build and improve dashboards, monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities.
Analyze performance across markets, network conditions, devices, browsers, operating systems, and other relevant dimensions.
Identify systemic, regional, and provider-specific issues and turn technical findings into actionable improvement plans.
Technical Collaboration
Work with Engineering, Product, Data, and other technical teams to develop the infrastructure and analytics needed to monitor streaming effectively.
Lead investigations into complex streaming issues with internal teams and external partners.
Define technical requirements and drive initiatives from problem identification through implementation and validation.
Act as the internal subject-matter expert for streaming technology and quality.
Providers & CDN Management
Work directly with streaming and CDN providers to improve reliability, latency, coverage, scalability, and overall quality.
Evaluate provider performance across different markets and use cases.
Identify opportunities to improve routing, provider allocation, CDN configuration, redundancy, and delivery architecture.
Monitor streaming costs and identify ways to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
Technology Strategy
Develop the long-term streaming technology roadmap supporting business growth and new markets.
Assess existing architecture and identify areas that should be improved, replaced, or potentially brought in-house.
Evaluate new streaming technologies, vendors, and delivery solutions.
Provide recommendations around player strategy, multi-provider architecture, redundancy, CDN strategy, quality-versus-cost decisions, and infrastructure requirements.
Stay current with developments in streaming, codecs, real-time delivery, CDN technology, playback, and related infrastructure.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in streaming, video infrastructure, media technology, or a related technical field.
Proven experience operating or optimizing large-scale streaming services.
Strong understanding of streaming architectures, video players, CDNs, delivery technologies, and performance optimization.
Experience with real-time or low-latency streaming.
Live casino, live gaming, sports streaming, or similar experience is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills and experience with monitoring, dashboards, observability, and performance data.
Ability to combine deep technical problem-solving with broader technology strategy.
Experience working with streaming vendors, infrastructure providers, and/or CDNs.
Proven ability to influence and deliver results across teams without direct management authority.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance technical performance with cost.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong English; Armenian is a significant advantage.
Location & Working Arrangement
Yerevan is preferred.
Exceptional remote candidates may be considered if they can travel to Yerevan at least once per month and work closely with the local Product and Engineering teams.
What Success Looks Like
Success means having clear, data-driven visibility into streaming quality across the business, detecting issues before they materially affect players, continuously improving performance across markets and devices, optimizing provider performance and costs, and maintaining a clear technology roadmap for future scale.
