Role Overview: DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for a mid-level DevOps Engineer who can hit the ground running and grow alongside a fast-moving iGaming team. You’ll be the first person fully focused on DevOps, laying the groundwork for infrastructure best practices and collaborating with development, QA, and data teams. There's strong potential to evolve this role into a DevSecOps position, so a keen interest in security is a plus.

You won’t be responsible for product code — but you should be comfortable reading and understanding developer code, debugging deployment issues, and facilitating CI/CD processes.

This role suits someone with a systems or network administration background who has transitioned into DevOps, and thrives in environments where ownership, flexibility, and adaptability are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage ephemeral test environments to support QA and feature testing workflows
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines to reduce bottlenecks and increase automation
  • Oversee cloud-based deployments, ensuring performance, stability, and security
  • Work with Docker-based containerization across development and staging systems
  • Automate provisioning and teardown using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Collaborate with developers and QA to support rapid development and testing cycles
  • Help define and implement DevSecOps practices as the company scales
  • Support and monitor databases and cloud-native services (in collaboration with a dedicated DBA)
  • Document internal tools and infrastructure to support onboarding and scalability

Qualifications:

  • 3–4 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or infrastructure engineering
  • Prior experience with AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, IAM, EC2)
  • Proficiency with Docker, scripting (Bash, Python, or Node.js), and CI/CD tooling
  • Exposure to Terraform or similar IaC tools
  • Comfortable working in environments with TypeScript/Node.js stacks
  • Ability to read developer code and troubleshoot deployment or integration issues
  • Interest in security best practices and willingness to contribute to a DevSecOps culture
  • Lifelong learning mindset with a flexible approach to scheduling — urgent work may arise unexpectedly
  • Strong communicator, collaborative mindset, and self-motivated in remote environments

Preferred Stack Exposure:

TypeScript, Node.js, React, Angular, Python, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Cloudflare, Docker

Interview Process:

  • Step 1: Initial call with the hiring lead
  • Step 2: Panel interview with Engineering Lead, Tech Lead, and Product Stakeholder
  • Step 3: (If required) Final discussion depending on team availability and alignment

This is an opportunity to take full ownership of infrastructure in a growing product team — and help shape the future of DevOps and security within a globally distributed company.
