A specialist Gambling law firm in the City of London, ranked in Band 1 for both Chambers and Legal 500 since its founding.

In recent years this firm has also been awarded best law firm in this field and four of its individuals are ranked in Chambers Global and Chambers UK.

Acting for a diverse range of household names in all areas of the global online and land-based gambling industry as well as start-ups, games developers, affiliates, equipment manufacturers, leading law firms, private equity firms and overseas governments, they advise on land-based and online gambling regulation/compliance.

The firm is experiencing exceptional growth and looking to recruit an Associate Lawyer (0-3 Years Pqe).

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer to join a highly specialist law firm. There is a true opportunity for progression and the ability to work towards partnership. 

The role will involve working with all of the Partners to therefore work on a wide variety of matters with regular client contact. 

Day to day duties may cover;

  • Legal classification advice, including the use of emerging technologies (blockchain, cryptocurrency and cashless payments) social gaming and eSports products.
  • Preparing and submitting applications to the Gambling Commission (including operating licences, variations, changes of corporate control and personal licences)
  • Compliance and reporting requirements
  • Foreign due diligence
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Due diligence on corporate acquisitions
  • Gambling Commission investigations, regulatory settlements and licence reviews
  • Terms and conditions
  • software licence agreements
  • white-label agreements
  • Terms and conditions
  • Affiliate marketing agreements
  • Sponsorship agreements 
  • Cookie and privacy policies
  • Exceptional communication

Applications will be considered from UK qualified Lawyers (3- 6 Years Pqe) with specialist gambling experience, or a keen desire to work in this field of Law
