Data Engineer.

My client, a growing company focused on the use of data to benefit e-commerce operations, is looking for a Data Engineer to join their talented data team in Tallin.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, validate, and maintain robust data solutions.
• Perform development tasks involving the creation of complex ETL jobs, SQL queries, and API calls across multiple data sources.
• Build and manage highly efficient and reliable data pipelines, both batch and real-time, integrating data from various sources such as databases, Kafka, 3rd party tools, and APIs.
• Take a proactive role in advancing data infrastructure by developing and implementing the underlying logic and structure for data setup, cleansing, and storage.
• Architect, launch, and oversee automated extraction and transformation processes, including dedicated projects that showcase creativity and expertise.

Desired experience and skillset:

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and principles
• Proficient in working with SQL/NoSQL databases and MPP/columnar data warehouse solutions (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, MS Synapse, Snowflake, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery and/or Snowflake
• Good knowledge of SQL language
• Experience working with any scripting language (Python pref.)
• Willingness to learn new Data modern stack-related tools and technologies
• English
