My Client is seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage the latest tools and technologies to support the product's growth.

This position is hybrid in Malaga. The company is unable to offer a work permit for this position at the moment. Only candidates who already have the legal right to work in Spain will be considered.

Main responsibilities:

  • Research, learn, and incorporate the latest tools and technologies into our infrastructure.
  • Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure, including the selection of cloud providers, networking, storage, and security configurations.
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to ensure that features and services are designed and implemented with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, proactively implementing automated solutions to detect and resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and runbooks for our infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability, optimal performance, and adherence to SLAs for our infrastructure.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructures.
  • Collaborate on new projects, continuously improving and evolving our product.
  • Provide support and mentorship to other team members.
  • Promote and advocate DevOps principles and best practices, emphasizing continuous integration, deployment, and delivery methods throughout the company.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with public cloud providers such as AWS and GCP, as well as on-premise infrastructures like VMWare and Proxmox.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems
  • Strong understanding of DevOps methodology and its application in infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and its implementation in infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience with application containers (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Swarm, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of software version control and revision systems/tools, including Git and Gitlab.
  • Proficiency in configuration automation systems, particularly Ansible.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, and Elasticsearch.
  • Solid understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience working with event stores, particularly Kafka.
  • Scripting skills (Ideally Python)
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
