Audio Visual & IT Support Technician



 Role Summary:
     
As an Audio Visual & IT Support Technician, you will participate in the construction and maintenance of our studios.
It's your job to ensure that programs are broadcast on time and of the highest quality. You'll carry out updates and repairs as well as operate and maintain the systems.
The perfect candidate should be able to build studios according to the provided plans and maintain various broadcast and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Installing and testing new facilities and equipment;
  • Providing full technical support for our studios;
  • Uploading content for virtual studios and digital signage system;
  • Setting up and maintaining equipment for virtual studio production;
  • Setting up and monitoring audio-visual links between units;
  • Analyzing and repairing technical faults on equipment and systems;
  • Minimizing loss of service when equipment fails by quickly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision;
  • Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during broadcasts;
  • Interpreting and implementing instructions and requests from product owners, creative directors, and designers;
  • Communicating effectively with members of the team and other colleagues;
  • Keeping up to date with the industry and technological changes and investigating new systems and techniques;
  • Installing studio lighting fixtures;
  • Monitoring and repairing CCTV applications and related services;
  • Handles maintenance, verification and repair of gaming equipment and related subassemblies;
  • Assists in all service requirements that are necessary for gaming machine equipment;
  • Installing gaming equipment;
  • Safely and effectively operating shop tools, including hand tools, soldering equipment, electronic test equipment, etc.;
  • Providing the first level of technical support for company employees and gaming table;
  • Providing the interface with the L2 and DevOps departments to fix technical problems of equipment and applications that cannot be solved locally;
  • Assuring the maintenance of server equipment (router, wifi, switch, patch panel);
  • Collaborating with the Operations Department in order to resolve errors by acting immediately for troubleshooting/reparation or replacement of the equipment;
  • Assuring that all encoders and media servers are technically functional for all games;
  • Diagnosing and repairing hardware and software problems of equipment and applications used within the company.



Requirements Skills:   
 

  • Advanced crimping skills for various connectors, such as BNC, Micro BNC, RJ45, and XLR;
  • Strong knowledge in hardware AV broadcast and IT networking - setting up and configuring a star network and ensuring communication between all devices;
  • Knowledge of scalers and matrix functionality and purpose;
  • Advanced knowledge of studio lighting, camera setups such as iso, aperture, shutter speed, output resolution and frame rate, camera colorization, and profiles;
  • Advanced knowledge of broadcast hardware, video switchers, video routers, and similar devices - installing and configuring;
  • Advanced knowledge of photography concepts like aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed, exposure, and camera lenses;
  • Experience in electronic engineering and using communication equipment;
  • Advanced knowledge of operating a video camera;
  • Advanced knowledge of production video switcher;
  • Advanced understanding of SDI infrastructure;
  • Being able to assemble a computer system from scratch;
  • Experience with live chroma keying is a plus;
  • Sufficient color vision and hearing;
  • A minimum of 3 year working experience in a similar role;
  • Fault-finding skills and the capacity to solve technical problems creatively;
  • Flexibility;
  • Fluency in English.
