Role Overview:

The Senior Manager, Global Partner Operations is a newly created growth role responsible for directing and leading the APAC account operations team that manages the day to day operational relationship with clients.

This role is responsible for managing and coordinating a team of managers and account executives who act as trusted partners in providing excellent technical, service, project and consultancy support to a portfolio of accounts, typically acquirers, Tier 1 Merchants and/ or issuers across the APAC region.  The team is also responsible for project managing new partner boarding’s, training clients on tools and systems, lead operational projects to implement new products, releases and solutions, along with resolving escalated customer issues.

The Senior Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring premier customer service and support is provided to internal and external partners so they can enhance and optimize payment capabilities to build and grow their business for our client’s merchants and card members. 

  • Direct and oversee team operational activities, which include but are not limited to:

    • Delivering pre-sales support to potential partners, including training partners and delivering workshops on tools and systems

    • Driving initiatives and projects focused on improving and resolving technical acceptance issues.

    • Implementing new network products (EMV, Digital, e-commerce, contactless, etc.)  and solutions with existing network partners. 

    • Managing technical communications with client’s technical team, project team, customer services team and senior executives

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally business, marketing, communications or technology related or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience leading and managing teams.

  • A wealth of operational, technical or account management experience within Payments

  • Demonstrated cross functional knowledge and experience in the working of a card scheme ecosystem (merchants/ Acquirer/ Network/Issuers/ card members)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to prioritize and manage parallel projects and issues

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong organization and resolution management skills

  • Client focused approach with the ability to interact across all management levels

  • Desired languages; English plus Mandarin or Cantonese or Taiwanese or Malay

  • PRINCE2, PMP or similar project management certification
