My client, an award-winning and market-leading fintech company, is looking for a Senior Devops Engineer. The engineer will need to go to the office in London 1-2 days per month.

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in the design, implementation, and support of large-scale infrastructure for new and existing products with a focus on AWS for successful execution of the requirements
  • Help Engineering teams adopt and onboard new technologies
  • Working with the broader team to analyze and design highly available infrastructure with server virtualization, clustering, replicating databases, disaster recovery and geographic redundancy
  • Build out autoscaling frameworks for various tiers of the application, partnering with technology teams
  • Solve complex issues experienced by SRE and Technology teams, identifying the root cause, and ensuring critical KPIs are being achieved
  • Actively monitor and administer the applications and hosting environment to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize downtimes.
  • Measure, optimise, and tune system performance to ensure systems operate reliably and are highly available in a 24/7 production environment
  • Manage and control the continuous deployment cycle (through automation) for the following environments: Development, Staging, Pre-prod and Production.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • 3-7 years of relevant work experience in SRE/Devops
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Unix/Linux based operating systems
  • Expertise in AWS Cloud services & SDKs
  • Proficient with DevOps tools Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Terraform
  • Experience in Python, Shell scripting
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong in DevOps methodologies and processes
  • Strong knowledge in Databases MySQL / PostgreSQL/ Mongo
  • Experience in any of Container orchestration tools (Amazon ECS, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, etc)
  • Strong knowledge in log management process & tools like ELK, Datadog, etc.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure & Application monitoring tools like, Datadog, Newrelic, ELK, etc.
