A reputable Pentasia client is looking for an IT Operations Lead that can manage and drive on an international team that maintains and deploys a world-class sports betting platform.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the IT Operations group.
- You will be entrusted with the IT support rotation schedule, on a remote basis
- Ensure all outstanding operational tasks are clear and that execution is visible
- Analyze and review all current processes. Propose and execute improvements in all areas of operation
- Identify changes to process or tools that could make workflows more efficient.
- Define and assist essential system administration tasks.
- Working alongside Tech Leadership to ensure that the IT Infrastructure can support the product's roadmap.
- Give feedback to the development organization to ensure that the software product is in line with with IT best practices
- Lead software builds, deployments and infrastructure changes covering internal and external systems.
- Lead the Dev Ops team to ensure that both build and deployment is repeatable, and aligns to IT operational best practices
- Operational report creation and distribution as defined by the Director of Technology
- Police and push strict adherence to security and change management processes.
- Relationship management of key technology partners
An ideal skillset & experiences:
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure and desktops regulated online and mobile casino and sports gaming products
- A sports betting background is a huge plus
- Demonstrable history of leading an IT Operations Team
- Ability to manage and unify remote/distributed teams
- Building and upgrading essential computer systems.
- Java application support, maintaining and troubleshooting java applications
- MySQL database installation support
- Kubernetes and cloud deployment technologies
- Maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting network infrastructures
- Working with dev teams and supporting software developers.
- You have the abilities to lead, organize and work as part of an on-call roster which may include support outside of office hours as/when necessary.
- Able to keep a calm head and approach despite working in high pressure support situation
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to isolate and resolve problems in a logical manner
- Must have a proactive approach and able to work without supervision to achieve the required goals as per department
- Degree in Computer Science or IT related field preferred. Appropriate business qualifications acceptable.
