My client is looking for a Director of User Acquisition who has a successful track record of digital marketing with mobile media buying or management at scale. We are looking for a hands-on contributor with a vast knowledge of digital marketing who also understands the importance of brand development and acquisition-based marketing. You will be responsible for focusing on acquiring new users and supporting customer retention for my client’s rapid expansion. This role is focused on the growing online sports betting and iGaming industry.  Focus will include utilizing multiple channels while leveraging Facebook, Google, Apple, and other self-serve programmatic ad platforms to scale their UA efforts. You will be responsible for managing medium to large UA budgets, supporting the overall direction of their media buying and creative strategy while launching and running campaigns, optimizing creatives and keywords, and otherwise supporting the overall marketing agenda. This is a high impact and high visibility role where you will oversee programming in all aspects, from a budget to staying in the weeds of campaign management and providing ROI and post campaign analytics. This role reports to the Head of Marketing. This job will be remote initially with the possibility of working from the office in either Las Vegas, NV or Denver, CO.   
The Role: 
  • Leads the development and delivery of an integrated acquisition strategy plan designed to meet business goals and objectives relating to customer acquisition in support of the overall marketing agenda. 
  • Manage designated marketing budgets, campaign ownership from beginning to end, including briefing, forecasting, tracking, reporting and performance analysis.
  • Define digital media buying strategies and drive campaigns to meet the goals.
  • Manage user acquisition campaigns, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Google, Ad networks, and Apple Search. 
  • Test, explore and develop new targeting opportunities through campaign trends, analysis, and industry insights to acquire high-quality users. 
  • Optimize ad creatives to improve creative performance in conjunction with marketing team. 
  • Launch UA campaigns in a systematic manner to target the right audience with the right messaging. 
  • Data analysis and ad-hoc reporting that drives user acquisition, retention, and monetization for a suite of mobile app products. 
  • Optimize UA campaigns based on defined ROAS, CPI, CPA, CPD and other goals. 
  • Creative Management:  research the market and the target group of users and define creative concepts that can attract more users. Continually evolve creative 
  • messaging and test new concepts while running A/B tests to validate hypothesis.  
  • Create, manage, and maintain third party relationships with key vendors and consultants. 
  • Monitor competitive trends to inform acquisition strategies. 
  • Engage key cross-functional constituents for feedback on new customer acquisition activity. 
What you will need: 
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a similar marketing role (agency or client side) in a high transactional volume industry. 
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-channel advertising and media space including establishing and maintaining business relationships with specialist media agencies and media owners. 
  • Data-informed mentality and ambition to exceed performance goals and optimization of mobile performance marketing campaigns across multiple UA channels. 
  • Problem-solving acumen, as well as analytical rigor to verify or invalidate assumptions. 
  • Hands-on experience with Facebook Ads and/or Google Ads. 
  • Extensive knowledge of overall Google analytics platform. 
  • Working knowledge of creative suite, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Creative Cloud.  
  • A hunger to be a continuous learner and get things done in the mobile advertising space and the mobile app market. 
  • Strong understanding of down-funnel metrics such as CTR, CVR, CPI, ARPU, Retention and LTV. 
  • Intellectual curiosity to vet the data and seek insights that shape the UA decision-making. 
  • Ability to effectively work with a growing and evolving group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals. 
  • Experience in building and executing programmatic marketing campaigns. 
  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. 
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, initiative, process, verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross functional teams. 
  • Must be 21 years of age or older. 
  • Must be able to meet any regulatory licensing requirements, including possible fingerprinting and background checks.
