We are recruiting for an IT Technical & Infrastructure Manager to be based in San Jose, Costa Rica.

This is a hands on role managing a wide and dispersed team, whilst being a member of the senior leadership team.

Salary is negotiable but would come with a very good bonus and relocation assistance.


Responsibilities

Ensure the overall up-time of the entire IT infrastructure
Implement a clear resolution and communication process for the benefit of the organization.
Manage the IT global budget
Have a clear understanding of the team capacity, and the ability to present a growth plan to the organization to anticipate future projects.
Implement various system and procedures that will help maximize the efficiency of IT personnel.
Be a conduit between various business units and the IT department to ensure proper business delivery or IT products (network, file share, emails, remote access, telephony, etc.)
Establish and implement disaster recovery plans.
Implement a continuous risk management process
Establish a people first incident management process to capture and act on service desk issues in an efficient manner.
Negotiate, and manage agreement with third parties
Identify IT related projects, supervise the project managers and systems group in the execution of those projects.
Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to team, including career path planning and training, performance reviews, and orientations
Oversee the proper functioning of the help desk, network operations center and related offices.
 

Qualifications

University or College degree in Computer Science or related field
8+ years with increasing responsibilities as an IT team leader and manager
Experience with a high load infrastructure
Ability to manage globally distributed teams
Strong conceptual knowledge of various technical areas (networking, databases, virtualization, telephony, etc.)
Strong leadership skill, the ability to get other people to get the work done.
Strategic thinker, the ability to look to the future and implement cutting edge technologies.
The ability to present to C-level executives and other managers across the organization
