We are recruiting for a Head of Marketing to be based in Baku, Azerbaijan on a 12 or 24 month rolling contract.
The salary is negotiable depending on experience and the ideal candidate will speak fluent English with one other of the following languages; Turkish, Russian or Azeri.
The company will offer a good relocation package including; housing/accommodation, company car, health insurance, schooling (if required), 4 x flights home per year.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will have responsibility for creating & Executing the Go to Market strategy and defining initiatives towards consumers and the Lottery gaming/Sports Betting/Virtual Games portfolio.
Lead and build the marketing team
Develop, execute & manage the marketing strategy across all channels and consumer initiatives aimed to meet business objectives
Do the marketing analysis: market, business and consumer research and competitor benchmarks to launch a new brand into the market..
Activation of initiatives to support in meeting strategic objectives
Have an analytical and technical approach to marketing techniques, implement KPI's and report on product profit & loss and product portfolio profitability using data
Define and launch new products and Innovate and maintain product portfolio through initiatives addressed to consumers, with ultimate objective to guarantee each year adequate turnover with respect to regulations, consumer protection and responsible gaming
Prepare marketing (brand & product) communications (also on digital channels such as social media and appropriate internet sites), invest in advertising (traditional channels), take advantage of public relation channels to attract customers
Brand maintenance and value creation, through above and below the line initiatives (advertising communication, public relations, events)
Support the definition of offers and commercial incentives
Define and implement in the different sales channels all initiatives, visual merchandising and store design tools. (trade marketing)
Initiate targeted Point of Sales promotions to elevate brand partnerships and maximize available brand assets
Profile & Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
+ 7 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the gaming sector, FMCG or in a multinational environment (Experience in Azerbaijan is an asset)
Strategic vision end framework design
Past experience in successfully launching a new brand from scratch or brand relaunch.
Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels
Proven experience in managing resources and teams
Consolidated experience in media buying
Experience in managing contractual agreements and manage and monitor suppliers and SLA / KPI definition
Excellent communication and presentation skills, orientation towards innovation and digitalization, creativity is a plus
Good planning and organization skills
Well spoken and written English, preferable also Turkish, Azeri, Russian
Demonstrated experience in developing marketing strategies and plans
Experience in managing significant budgets
Excellent problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience in managing teams
