Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Champion and rally the organization around BI
  • Lead the case for becoming a Data Driven Organization
  • Provide overall ownership of the organizational BI ecosystem
  • Interact with the Exec Board to understand business requirements and key performance measures and align technical strategy with business goals and objectives
  • Be proficient in all aspects of BI and Information Management processes, technologies and architectures including:
    • Data-related Cloud technologies – AWS and Azure in particular
    • Big data architecture and concepts (such as Data Lakes), and how they can be applied to AWS cloud environments
    • BI visualization tools
    • Dimensional data modeling principles 
    • Data integration tools and techniques such as ETL
    • Relevant related areas such as data quality, master data management, metadata management, collaboration and business process management  
  • Lead and manage the BI Team. This includes:
    • Performance management
    • Team capacity management
    • Optimize work processes within the team
    • Career growth planning for team members, including training and progression within business
    • Promote a team atmosphere that is conducive to the overall accomplishment of goals, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Make presentations to the Exec Board and management as needed

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management or related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working with Business Intelligence and Management Information Analytics
  • Experience in working with BI software and services vendors. Ability to negotiate and structure contracts favorable to the organization
  • End to end knowledge of data warehouse architectures, approaches and methodologies
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within the online gaming industry
