Our client is a first-class global interactive operator, currently operating in US regulated markets.   We are in search of an exceptional candidate with a strategic marketing mindset and a strong digital background to build and run the marketing strategy and team.  This position reports directly to the CMO.   

The ideal candidate for this role will be overall responsible for the US Marketing P&L with a strong digital marketing background, ideally in gaming/gambling. As the senior member of the marketing team, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing acquisition, product and marketing operations across a matrixed organization.  You will also grow your own product, CRM teams.  You will own market plans, product launches, brand development, and the commercial agenda.  A focus on sports is preferred, but not required.   

Responsibilities Include:
 

  • Managing the US Marketing P&L – responsible for the US marketing operations at all levels.

  • Develop the brand positioning, values, and messaging that are unique and differentiated, encompassing strategic growth areas.

  • Define and oversee the execution of marketing strategy for new launches with multi-channel touch points, and in new jurisdictions.

  • Increase engagement and monetization through messaging strategy, promotions strategy, and incentives program, encouraging player retention.

  • Building and managing a marketing team, whilst also being execution focused.

  • Lead large cross-functional teams and drive decisions informed by data.

 

Desired Skills And Experience:
 

  • 5+ years’ experience in online and/or mobile marketing with solid understanding of mobile space (iOS, Android) – B2C

  • Experienced managing a marketing P&L

  • Experience growing marketing strategy from the ground floor up in a start-up environment

  • Experience managing/leading teams

  • Background/strong understanding of online games industry strongly preferred

  • Experience in a fast-moving consumer facing industry working in targeted/database marketing, driving strategies across channels

  • Understanding of methodologies used in CRM, such as customer segmentation, targeting, incremental performance reporting and variant testing

  • Product and sports backgrounds are highly preferred, but not required
