The company is looking for someone passionate, innovative, and excited about optimizing and/or re-designing the company's data architecture to support next-generation products and data initiatives.

Location: Isle of Man (Relocation Assistance)
Salary: Circa £55K
What will you be doing ...?
The role involves improving and maintaining PostgreSQL databases for the business, administrating PostgreSQL clusters, and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture. The DBA will also support software developers, database architects, and product teams on data initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery architecture.

Supporting the full project life cycle and working collaboratively with other team members, communicating effectively, and fostering team success

Maintaining platforms and Maintaining and creating new scripts to automate daily tasks

Producing automation and tooling solutions

Troubleshooting performance issues and providing hot-seat support.

Capacity Reporting and maintenance including dashboard creation

Creating an internal project to improve processes or operations
Skills:
-
Experience with NoSQL databases and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL

Demonstrable experience working with huge, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures.

PSQL experience, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

Familiarity with PostgreSQL support for JSON and Azure.

Knowledge of Splunk, Elastic, Grafana and the tools, DBeaver, MobaXterm, PgAdmin

Working knowledge of both Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows and operating system scripting languages
