About the role:

As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be:

  • to prospect new opportunities and move into the sales funnel, pick up sales opportunities at any stage of the sales process, and progress them through the sales cycle to closing.

  • You will possess a passion for prospecting, relationship building, and enterprise selling and have experience in negotiating complex sales to closing deals.


  • Build strong working relationships with a prospect’s executive, commercial, and technical staff, gaining trust by demonstrating a strong understanding of companies product offering and value proposition in relation to customer needs.

  • Cultivating excellent relationships and leadership is fundamental.

  • Combine entrepreneurial drive with business management skills to drive gains in long-term revenue, market share, and profit, bottom-line performance to achieve a higher level of profitability.

  • Work closely with project management to ensure accurate scoping and presenting opportunities in the best way to move a prospect through the sales process.

  • Respond timely to submission of RFI/RFQ/RFP’s and other information requests to internal teams.

  • Experience and understanding of contract structure, commercial contract negotiation, and common terms and conditions for service provision will be important for this role.

  • Formulate and share well-prepared documentation, insights, and general competitor intelligence as part of your trusted advisor activity.

  • Be prepared to utilize data analytics and business intelligence in the gaming and sports betting space by working with business intelligence teams as a part of your sales activity.

  • Maintain an understanding of regulatory and commercial developments in core strategic markets to drive new opportunities.

Essential Requirements (must have):

Skills & Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of s sportsbook operational experience, including sportsbook technology. Business development experience within the regulated sportsbook industry is highly preferred.

  • A deep passion for sports with an interest in technology

  • Articulate and strong sales skills to build relationships and sell to executives at all business levels.

  • Self-motivated and driven with a “hunter” mentality for prospecting and closing sales.

  • Must possess strong presentation skills for complex sales and knowledge of formal sales processes.

  • Previous experience working with Hubspot or similar CRM tool.

  • Be able to work remotely and be prepared to travel domestically at short notice as necessary.


  • Comfortable working autonomously in low volume, high value strategic sales opportunities coupled with a genuine enjoyment of selling and achieving long-term results in a complex, multi-cultural B2B environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of how to interact with different cultures personally and professionally.

  • Knowledge and understanding of regulated tribal and commercial casino environments to develop new business within those territories.

  • Sports betting knowledge is preferred but not essential. All applicants must immerse themselves in research of this hugely growing US sport betting & iGaming market before applying
