Business Intelligence Manager, London

Being data-driven is at the core of our brand and we are now investing heavily in the area of data and analytics and we are now looking for a business focused and highly analytical person to lead our Business Intelligence team in London.

You will be an integral part of helping the business reach the growth targets set up for the coming years by maximizing the value of our data by providing our organisation with insights and reports. To succeed in this role we believe you have a couple of years of experience from a similar role and you know how to raise the maturity level of a Business Intelligence team in an organisation that is striving to become more data driven.

This role will lead the BI team in the delivery of insights, information and analytics solutions to the business’s key stakeholders. You will report to our Head of Business Intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Increase the maturity of the company as a data-driven business
    • Be a champion for analysis and data across the business, educating the business about its capability and helping to identify use cases
    • Promote data-driven decision making in the company
    • Ensure decision makers have the right data and insights to make informed decisions
    • Establish vision and objectives together with the stakeholders across sportsbook operations
  • Team leadership
    • Growth, recruitment and day to day management of analysts and data scientists in London
    • Coach and develop members of the BI team
    • Set processes and praxis for the delivery of insights as well as canned reports
    • Act as an escalation point of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse priorities
  • Drive continuous improvements in the ability to leverage data and analytics
    • Improve the quality and reliability of our data assets
    • Ensure the availability of needed data assets
    • Propose improvements to our technology stack

Skills and experience

  • Experience in working closely with stakeholders, understanding their needs, and present insights and solutions in a pedagogical way
  • Advanced knowledge of analytical technology stack, including data warehousing, reporting and big data
  • Strong knowledge in SQL and statistical modelling with R or Python
  • Experience from recruiting analysts and data scientists
  • Strong existing network is meriting
  • Quantitative degree from top university
