Methodology
Search & selection, or 'head hunting', is a confidential and targeted service used by clients who require either rare skills or senior personnel who are not readily available as applicants to either generic or specific advertising. Where there is a shortage of suitable qualified candidate’s available, search & selection is the most effective method of identifying, attracting, selecting and recruiting the industries top talent.
Where other forms of recruitment rely upon candidates to initiate the first move, search & selection is extremely effective at recruiting industry specialists who may not be proactive in finding alternative employment.
Consultation Phase
Pentasia meet with the hiring management and gain a thorough insight to the culture of the company to the specific skills required and the job function. A full and comprehensive job description is agreed before a search is started.
Research Phase
Thorough research into the clients’ main competition is documented to identify companies most likely to employ the calibre of individual required. Using a variety of name gathering techniques and data feeds a researcher will compile a database of companies, names, and job titles to form the basis of the search.
Approach Phase
A consultant will initiate a telephone approach to specific candidates identified from the list on behalf of our client. The candidate is initially assessed in a telephone interview usually conducted in the evening or at a mutually convenient time. If appropriate, a CV is requested and meeting arranged.
Pre-screen Interview
The client’s identity is only released at interview stage once the candidate has proved to be a potentially suitable match and demonstrated keen interest in the opportunity. A meeting is arranged to discuss the opportunity in detail by presenting the company, their future plans, staff, culture, and vacancy. A thorough set of interview notes is compiled detailing the candidates’ current salary and package, desired salary requirements, notice period, location flexibility, motivation, appearance, and commitment.
Short-List
A short-list of candidates is presented to the client with CV's and interview notes giving a comprehensive overview of why each candidate is potentially suitable for the role. The client selects candidates they feel to be of particular interest for their internal interview and short-listing process.
Offer & Acceptance
A consultant will debrief candidates' feedback and consult closely with the client prior to a final selection and offer. Once an offer of employment is made by the client a consultant will verbally close the candidates’ intentions and ensure appropriate paperwork is promptly completed.
Resignation & Start
Pentasia provide advice and guidance to candidates at resignation stage to minimise the risk of a 'buy back' situation occurring. Pentasia also remain in close contact with both parties until the candidate is successfully integrated into the new company.
